Θ / ΘЄ/O/ΔⲰ-PO/C Saint Theodore, nimbate, standing facing, holding a spear in his right hand, and resting his left hand on shield. Rev. CΦPAΓIC / O MAPTHC / TⲰN ΓPAΦⲰN / KⲰNSTANT/NOV TOV / ΔOVKA ('The martyr is the seal of the letters of Konstantinos Doukas') in six lines. Wassiliou-Seibt, Corpus II 2695, quoting an unpublished seal in Dumbarton Oaks (BZS.1958.106.4310). An impressive seal of a member of an important imperial family. Very fine.
